Outreach
and Missions
"Go
therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching
them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with
you always, to the end of the age." Matthew
28:19 (ESV)
At Grace, our heart's
desire is to see many accept Christ as their personal Savior and
follow Him in obedience. We believe that those God calls will be
saved and we are excited to share the good news of the gospel whenever
we have opportunity. Our outreach occurs as:
-
we faithfully preach
and teach the Bible each week.
-
our
members "rub shoulders" with neighbors, coworkers and
friends.
-
our outreach team goes
door-to-door and meets those in the neighborhood around the
church.
-
we support national
ministries which preach the gospel, make disciples and/or show
mercy to those in need
-
we support
international missionaries who serve the Lord worldwide.
Church supported
Missionaries:
-
John
and Liz – West Africa
John and Liz have served as missionaries for Grace since the late
1970's. Their faithfulness in service in the midst of much
adversity is a real testimony to the grace of God. We are
truly blessed to participate with them in their ministry.
-
Rev.
Rob Edwards – University of Georgia
Reformed
University Ministries is the campus ministry of the Presbyterian
Church in America designed to reach students for Christ and equip
them to serve His church. Rob and his wife, Angie spent their
youth as members of Grace and now work to minister to students at
their alma mater, UGA.
-
Becky White -
Christ's College, Taiwan
Becky teaches in the English Department at Christ's College, a
four-year Christian college that seeks to strengthen the church in
Taiwan through education. This ministry gives Becky an opportunity
to educate from a Christian perspective and to build relationships
with students through counseling and prayer. She teaches courses
such as English Literature, American Literature, Bible As
Literature, and College Composition.
-
Young and
Soon Park - Korea
Dr. Young Park is a member of the PCA Metro Atlanta Presbytery. He
is presently teaching at the Hapdong Theological Seminary. His
wife Soon received her nursing degree from the Taegu Nursing
College and practiced nursing for eight years in the States. The
tension between North and South Korea is an ever-present reality
and Young strongly believes that the Lord is cracking open the
previously impenetrable wall of the North. The process may seem
slow but the Lord is sovereign over even North Korea.
